I had the chance to spend a year examining my youth and how I became an active member of the 60s generation. The series comprise six hours of television. This is a section of the fourth show which looked at how the Vietnam War engaged with so many people pro or con and created such a rebellious time in America. It wasn't the only reason but the war was a major factor for sure. To see other parts of the series, search the words "making sense of" on my YouTube channel. The entire series is not available on the web. I am sorry for the sound dropouts but they are created by YouTube that cuts out a few music segments where I no longer have the rights as I once did to use the music. Remember that the Vietnam War split America 50-50, with 50% totally supporting and the other 50% totally against. Truly a partisan divide. Remember that those Democrats who refuse to vote for Pres. Lyndon Johnson's surrogate, Hubert Humphrey, in the 1968 election, caused Richard Nixon to become president. Remember that this time split families who disagreed on this issue and refused to speak with one another. It was a highly charged emotional time with many stories told in many yet to be told.
