It is an American western starring Robert Francis and Donna Reed. The film, directed by Phil Karlson based on a screenplay by DeVallon Scott and Frank S. Nugent and a story by Leo Katcher, was produced by Lewis J. Rachmil for Columbia Pictures and shot in Corriganville ranch in Simi Valley, Burro Flats area in Simi Hills and Iverson Ranch in Chatsworth, Los Angeles, California, from November 17 to December 7, 1953.

Synopsis: The doctor Sward is a friend of the Indians who patiently treats the frequent malaria epidemics, but he has to counter the policy of ferocious hostility against the Red Indians practiced by Captain Black. Between skirmishes with the colonel's beautiful and vain daughter, Lauren, Sward tries to persuade the Kiowa tribe not to attack the American fort. By saving the life of the injured son of the Indian chief with a difficult surgery, Sward manages to guarantee peace and also wins the love of Lauren.
