Doug came back to try out the Cherokee! AND HE LOVED IT. Not a surprise to be honest. He did a great job for someone that had never flown a PA28 before! I wanted to try something 'funky' so requested a power off approach to the opposite runway but tower had other, equally testing ideas. A power off approach on climb-out at 700 feet is no joke. Low altitude, low airspeed (forgive the drama at the beginning of the video). What do you do, where do you go? It is possible to get back to a runway, but you have to act fast! I was happy with how that approach went and thanks to Doug for allowing me to demonstrate.
