Sherydon, known as La Don, has an acoustic folk style of song with a touch of soul. She began her songwriting journey as a teenager but was singing on the marae at the request of her parents at just a young age. Her mother taught her just four chords (Blue Moon) and from there La Don was able to write her first song. Her inspiration comes from the likes of Corrine Bailey Rae, Norah Jones, and her own Pao Pao Pao mentors, Maisey Rika and Seth Haapu.
